Time for another reflective open letter I think. To set the tone Spring is here, my birthday just passed (April 6th) I ended up with 4 releases dropping this last month…talk about being an Aries. I’m having fun, sometimes the drops are difficult because you never know how anyone will respond especially if there’s not much of an active audience you don’t know if any one will respond. Both of these fears are mental, made worse by staying in the mental. We have to cotinue consistently overcoming those fears not consistently succumbing to them.
Last week we played a few shows that were alot of fun, both very different in comparison and taught me different things that I needed to learn/take in. The image above was taken at my most recent show this past Saturday May 4th. Clearly the force was with me that night, it was my first time playing Wakefield since living here. A crowd that comes out specifically for music and a good time can make all the difference. No matter how many I’ll play I don’t think I’ll ever really get used to a completely new crowd rocking with us, chanting, moving and letting lose from start to finish always amazing.
Above are some shots from our show (myself & band “Legends With No Name“) on Wednesday May 1st was in Leeds at Hyde Park Book Club supporting Chiedu Oraka‘s mixtape release party! Respect to the “Black Yorkshireman” and his team. It’s always a blessing on this journey to be seen and then be surrounding by people that look like you going in the direction you see yourself. The pride, power and motivation that comes from that is second to none!

Following or last release “WRITERS BLOCK”, we have the second single “MONEY $HOT” releasing this Friday on May 10th from the upcoming live session E.P titled “Legends With No Name”. The E.P serves as an introduction of the band and ushering in this new style of music being made.
MONEY $HOT will be available on all streaming platforms including a visual release of the live session of the song recorded and produced by Leeds Secret Sessions.
